Cathy Ballini, Executive Director

Executive Director, Cathy Ballini, comes to River Mills with a wealth of experience in Assisted Living. She was at Benchmark Senior Living for many years as business manager and lastly as Executive Director. 

Seneida Torres, Community Relations Director

Seneida joined Hallkeen Management on July 1st as Community Relations Director for River Mills Assisted Living at Chicopee Falls. Seneida comes with an extensive background in sales and community outreach along with human services. For many years, she has helped families find housing and has even started a small local non-profit (Traveling Vendor Fair) due to her experience in helping her community. Seneida’s relationships within the community will be an asset to the Hallkeen community.

Andy Lopez, Plant Operations Director

Andy joins River Mills Assisted Living with great knowledge and an extensive background in all aspects of Plant Operations such as building and grounds, preventative maintenance, and housekeeping.  His experience brings a great addition to our team! 

Maribeth Dwane, Resident Care Director

Maribeth comes to River Mills Assisted Living with extensive knowledge in nursing and resident care.  With more than a decade of experience in geriatric care, Maribeth brings a depth of industry knowledge and understanding of resident’s needs.

Julia Hannon, Activities Director

Julia Hannon has worked in eldercare for a number of years and is excited to begin at River Mills as the Activities Director. She believes in the “person-centered” approach to programming, and always strives to connect with each resident on an individual level. Finding the right mix of activities for an individual to connect with and helping to maintain a sense of purpose in their lives here at River Mills, is her goal. She has a true passion for this work and is looking forward to sharing it.

Joan Iwanicki, Business Office Manager

Joan Iwanicki is excited about supporting the elderly community at River Mills Assisted Living. She joined Hallkeen Management as a Business Office Manager in March of 2020. She brings over 15 years of experience in office management, banking, real estate, human resources, and operations. Joan holds her Bachelor’s Degree from University of Massachusetts, Amherst, an Associate’s Degree in Office Management from Greenfield Community College, and a Professional Human Resources Certificate. Outside of the office, Joan likes camping, hiking, and enjoys family get togethers.

Brygida Pietras-Trzaska, Connections Memory Care Director

Brygida Pietras-Trzaska joined River Mills Assisted Living as our Connections Memory Care Director.

Brygida is an RN certified in gerontology, rehabilitation nursing and is a certified dementia practitioner.  For the last 20 years, she has been working with memory impaired residents in assisted living settings.  She will help build connections with residents needing memory support activities and engagement.

Luis Almontem, Food Service Director

As Food Service Director, Luis Almonte joins River Mills Assisted Living with over 20 years of culinary experience in both fine dining and assisted living settings. Luis’ impeccable talent in the culinary field brings an unforgettable dining experience to our residents.
