Residents enjoyed a fun filled Halloween social with local apple cider, desserts , bobbing for apples, pumpkin broom races, candy corn guess and their favorite ghost toss. Lots of laughs had by everyone!
Walk to End Alzheimer's

What a fun night! Thanks to all who came to our Walk to End Alzheimer’s Bingo Night Fundraiser! We had a great time playing Bingo, chatting and laughing, and raising close to $300!! Many thanks to our generous residents, staff, families, and friends for helping us support this cause. 💜
Homemade Pickles

Homemade pickles! 🥒 A couple weeks ago we chopped and boiled and brined a bushel of cucumbers, and today we sampled the finished product! We made both bread & butter pickles and dill pickles, but overall the favorite seemed to be bread & butter! So now tell us friends, are you Team Bread & Butter, or Team Dill??

River Mills Assisted Living is collecting non-perishable food items to be donated to Lorraine’s Soup Kitchen here in Chicopee. Please help us help our less fortunate neighbors by donating what you can. Our collection box is located right in the front lobby; we will be collecting food items through the end of February. Happy 90th Birthday to John

On February 4th, we wished a very happy 90th birthday to John! We had a nice little celebration for him at River Mills, and then continued the party at a local bakery. Because when you turn 90 you get to eat cake AND a donut.

Meals Delivered to Life Care Center of Wilbraham
May 15th, 2020 – We were at it again! To support our fellow healthcare workers during this difficult time, we delivered lunch, made by our own Chef Luis, to the staff at Life Care Center of Wilbraham. We are truly happy and proud to provide them with this meal. Keep up the great work guys! Enjoy!

May 5th, 2020 – Our community has a wonderful time celebrating Cinco De Mayo. Chef Luis demonstrated how to make guacamole and served it up fresh with homemade tortilla chips and margaritas! YUM!

Networking Event
December 19th, 2019 – We recently hosted a local networking event to partner with our neighbors throughout the community. We had about 30 attendees and everyone had a wonderful time touring the building. Partnering with local businesses is important to River Mills as it allows us additional opportunities to do more for our residents. We look forward to making this a regular event!
